Wear Your Label is all about embracing who you are and eliminating the stigma behind mental illness. Both of the designers, Kayley and Kyle, suffered from mental illnesses and instead of shying away like society expects, they rose above it and created this movement to make a difference. It's all about using fashion to create these important conversations!

LC Lauren Conrad Runway Collection NYFW Recap

 

We're in the very beginning of New York Fashion Week and for the first time ever, Lauren Conrad showcased an exclusive runway collection with her LC Lauren Conrad line at Kohl's. I've been a big supporter of Lauren from the early days and have always loved her Kohl's line. I love that she makes chic, stylish clothing that's attainable for everyone! 

Although I didn't have the pleasure to attend the LC Lauren Conrad runway show, I was able to watch it online through their live streaming! A lot of designers are implementing live streaming into their shows, but I think it's especially fitting for the LC Lauren Conrad line. As I said before- the main purpose of her line is to create beautiful clothing that is attainable for the average woman, so why wouldn't the runway show be open to everyone? It just makes sense! And in this case, it was almost more beneficial to watch the show from home because Kohl's made her runway collection available for purchase immediately following the show.

The Must-Have Silhouette For Every Body Type

There are a lot of elements that go into creating THE perfect look. When styling yourself or someone else, it's important to consider things like the color palette, comfort level, affordability, and of course- the silhouette! In my opinion, the most important element is the silhouette because it can determine how flattering the look is. I'm a firm believer that no matter what shape or size your body is, there's a silhouette out there for you! It's all about dressing for your body type, not necessarily losing weight to fit a certain mold.

So, what is the must-have silhouette of this season? It's peplum! This silhouette was huge a few years ago and never really went away but this year, I'm seeing it everywhere. And it's no wonder why! The peplum silhouette is incredibly flattering for many different body types. Balance is said to be what the human brain finds attractive and beautiful, so that's really what it's all about!

One of my favorite things about the fall season is the color palette! I live on the east coast, where we experience beautiful fall foliage.
