Who has heard of a 'bralette?' I hadn't until recently but now- and seemingly all of a sudden- every brand is hopping on the bandwagon and carrying these! So what exactly is it? It's basically a bra with decorative detailing and straps, which is meant for layering. Last Friday, I featured one from Express in my 'Friday Favorites' top 5 collection.

Christie: Where are you from and how has that affected your style?

Kim: Well, I was raised in the Northeast but live in the Midwest, so I feel there are elements of my style that have been influenced by the people and places of both regions. I also travel a lot, so I think I may have picked up a few stylistic habits that do not necessarily belong to one region or another.

Kim: My blog covers a lot of topics, but it is mostly about the DIY projects I take on and how they ultimately turn out. I have a lot of fun along the way, and I just love telling the stories of how a project may transform from beginning to end.
